Visits from all over the world… our ClustrMap
We have had a ClustrMap on our blog almost from the first day, and it’s quite amazing to see that we have had visitors from all over the world. How do they find us? Mrs C posted the address to one of her online teacher groups, so that’s where many of the American visits came from, but how did others find us?
If you’re a visitor from somewhere other than our school, please post a comment and tell us how you found us.
Amazing Projects
Our grade is working on projects for the next week. The topic of the project is each student’s own choice, as is the method of presentation. As students progress through the task, they will post updates here on our blog.
These are our chosen topics:
Besim: motorbikes Tom Hol: Australian Cricket Team Yasemin: Avril Lavigne Mariah: insects Jacob: golf Krystal: Hilary Duff Kim: the Solar System Nikita: profiles Lachlan: my family history Tom Hey: “Destroy All Humans” game Damien: Blogs Cointha: famous eccentrics EJ: Spongebob Squarepants Robert: Checkers and Chess Thomas: Star Wars Kaitlyn: local history Imogen: origami Alex: Andrew Flintoff Brayden: X Games Fern: Shakespeare Hannah: Whip Industries Matt: D-Day Nick: swimming Rebecca: butterflies Zac: Scratch programCanberra Camp
Eight of our grade six students are going to Canberra, our national capital, on Monday at 7am. It will take about 7 hours for them to get there.
The rest of the class will be slaving away back at school, especially working on our free choice projects.
Our campers will return on Thursday night at 7pm – they will share photos and news of their trip once they recover!

New page updates
We’ve put some new content on our other pages. Click the tabs below our heading banner to see these pages or on the green hyperlinks below, and don’t forget to post a comment or question for us:
About: tells a little about us!
Contact: use this page to send Mrs C an email.
Marketplace: this page is about our Marketplace program, one of the highlights of the school year in grade 5/6.
Music: a collection of random ditties that are heard in our classroom.
Books: short reviews of the books Mrs C has read to us this year.
Marketplace comment
Motoman (names have been changed to protect the innocent) is telling us about Marketplace. Apparently it’s really, really fun.
Wallpaper
Okay, now this is just spooky. Imagine living in a house with this pattern for wallpaper – eeeew.
Flash Movies
For these animations, I used a program called MACROMEDIA FLASH MX 2004. To get the plane I used MACROMEDIA FLASH FIREWORKS. Now, the process I used to make the animation is very hard to explain, so I won't annoy you by telling every thing I did. If you have any problems, ask your question in a comment and I'll get back to you. How embarrassing…
We are playing around with making videos with the digital camera but some of our students are very shy!
