To our Graduates

quilt-pics-2007-for-blog.jpgGuys, I was so proud of you all at Graduation! The evening was wonderful, made all the better because it was run by you, for you. Fantastic efforts:

Fern – a brilliant speech; humorous, sentimental and thoughtful all at once. You’ve set a high standard for others to live up to.

Zac, Damien, Brayden and Alex – you were the backbone of a wonderful program and ticket team. The results were very professional looking and the organisation and help you gave to get the task done was invaluable.  A successful mission, boys.

Becky – it was so great to see you up the front in the dance, taking part and smiling! Keep it up next year; I’ll be listening  for news about you from high school.

Imogen – how brave are you? Solo music to an audience of over 400 people. Well done and make sure you hold on to that “can do” attitude.

Nick – you win the firm handshake award – or would if there was one! Your folks must have been so proud of the confident way you walked across the stage to receive your certificate.

Hannah – another speaker of a high calibre. You even managed to smile and speak clearly at the same time. Great job.

Matt – you organised yourself well in your Sovereign Hill speech and acted confident.I don’t know if you actually felt that way, but if you were nervous you hid it well.

Great work kids. Makes me wish I’d kept you down so I could have you all again next year! :) Grade fivers – your classmates and grade six students from other grades have set a high benchmark for you to aspire to next year.

Canberra Camp

Eight of our grade six students are going to Canberra, our national capital, on Monday at 7am. It will take about 7 hours for them to get there.

The rest of the class will be slaving away back at school, especially working on our free choice projects.

Our campers will return on Thursday night at 7pm – they will share photos and news of their trip once they recover!

Below is an overhead view of Parliament House and the surrounding area.

Flash Movies

For these animations, I used a program called MACROMEDIA FLASH MX 2004. To get the plane I used MACROMEDIA FLASH FIREWORKS. Now, the process I used to make the animation is very hard to explain, so I won't annoy you by telling every thing I did. If you have any problems, ask your question in a comment and I'll get back to you.

How embarrassing…

We are playing around with making videos with the digital camera but some of our students are very shy!
